There isn't a specially designed laptop for kids that comes with internet connectivity and standard laptop computing functions. Kid laptops are educational in nature and are designed with entertainment and learning in mind. Most laptops for kids sell for between $30 and $100 and resemble a toy rather than a professional-looking laptop computer. With that said some kid laptops are becoming surprisingly realistic looking and are being designed with more advanced features. For example you can now purchase a laptop for kids with a color screen. Like I said kid laptops are essentially learning toys and do not hook up to the internet but come with many built-in learning exercises and games. Some laptops for kids come with additional cartridges that include more topics and/or games. Typing and word processing skills can even now be learned on a kids laptop computer. There are a few different kid laptop brands on the market today with some incorporating themes such as Bratz and Barbie. VTech, Fisher Price, and Oregon Scientific are the three major laptop for kids manufacturers.
